This two-base tour provides you with the opportunity to explore Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, as well as Pienza, in the heart of the Val d’Orcia.

Six nights in Florence gives you ample time to discover this magnificent city, including Michelangelo’s David, the superb Franciscan Basilica of San Croce, and the iconic Ponte Vecchio. We then transfer to our second base at Pienza, visiting the wonderful city of Siena en route. Pienza is a lovely town in the picture-perfect Val d’Orcia and is an ideal location from which to explore some ‘off the beaten track’ parts of Tuscany. Indeed, the Val d’Orcia, with its rolling vineclad hills, cypress trees and hilltop medieval villages, is quintessential Tuscany, so it’s not surprising that in 2004, UNESCO included it on its list of World Cultural Landscapes, the first rural area to be so honoured.

Of course, no tour to Tuscany would be complete without sampling delicious local cuisine and wines, and there are plenty of opportunities to treat your taste buds.

      Words from Your Tour Manager…

“Years ago, I was lucky enough to study in Florence, living in a flat overlooking the river Arno near the Ponte Vecchio, the iconic Old Bridge. Of course, I fell in love with the city’s incredible Renaissance heritage, and still never tire of it. So I’m thrilled Prestige asked me to design this tour and that I can share my love of Tuscany with you!

We will of course take in the must-sees, such as Michelangelo’s magnificent David – and obviously the Ponte Vecchio! But we’ll also experience lesser-known sights of this marvellous city, gems in their own right.

Beyond the splendours of Florence, Tuscany is blessed with rolling, vineclad hills and quaint, walled medieval villages. Our second base, the delightful little town of Pienza, has stunning views of the Orcia Valley. The valley itself is so quintessentially and beautifully Tuscan, that it became UNESCO’s first ever World Cultural Landscape. From Pienza, we travel through glorious countryside to hidden and delightful corners of Tuscany.

Tuscany’s cuisine is wholesome and of the earth and its wines world-famous. As with all Prestige tours, we have ample opportunity to savour both, making this a true ‘taste of Tuscany’ in every sense.”
