Starting in Marrakech and finishing in Casablanca, uncover the extraordinary highlights of Morocco, form its bustling souks to its mountainous interior.

If you’ve ever dreamed of uncovering the highlights of Morocco, now’s your chance. This eleven-day tour is designed to showcase the best the ‘gateway to Africa’ has to offer, from its bustling souks and cities to its spectacular mountainous interior – with great food and a unique cultural heritage in between.

Morocco’s scenery has inspired the imagination and been used in countless film and TV productions, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Mission Impossible and Game of Thrones, and a tour through the rugged but stunningly beautiful Atlas Mountains gives you a glimpse into why this region has been selected again and again.

Not only will you tour the Moroccan highlights during the day, but spending eight nights in Riads and Kasbahs is an opportunity to experience Moroccan splendour in traditional accommodation. Two nights in Casablanca completes the tour, with a special farewell meal in the famous Rick’s Café a highlight in itself.

      Words from Your Tour Coordinator…

“Our tour to Morocco is a comprehensive journey of an extraordinarily diverse land, from the welcoming chaos of its souks and medinas and its fortified hilltop settlements in the Atlas Mountains to bustling seaside towns and remote Roman ruins.

Marrakech, “pearl of the south”, remains the most popular tourist destination, where you can find modern sites such as the delightful Majorelle Gardens juxtaposed with the narrow souks which take you back in time. The old quarters of Fez are a UNESCO World Heritage Site in themselves, and the city is a crucial centre of education and architecture. International metropolis Casablanca is a major commercial business hub with a surprisingly spiritual fringe including the stunning Hassan II Mosque which stands on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Surprisingly, Meknes is renowned for its production of wine after its introduction in the early 20th century by the French protectorate, and this year we have included a wine tasting during our time here.

Finally, the Roman ruins of Volubilis transport visitors 2,000 years back in time, an exceptionally well-preserved Roman colonial town on the fringes of Rome’s empire and only partly excavated. This really is a unique discovery of the diverse landscapes, cities and people in a country that allows you to dip your toes in Arab culture.”
